The engine of delicious food. Daily delivery of healthy food sets

Cooking is a tedious task. Do current food tech services solve the problem? Partly. You don't have to go shopping, cook dinners after a tiring day at work, or spend time looking for recipes when preparing a diet for yourself. But current services for the delivery of ready-made food sets put users into a strict healthy diet. We brought in experts in healthy nutrition, developed a product concept and design to expand the current Kitchen model in the district.

A little bit of context

The local kitchen is a home-made food delivery service. The project has no restaurant halls, only local kitchens scattered throughout different parts of the city, and riders who travel on foot or by bike. Orders are delivered very quickly — in 10-30 minutes. Below is the video: there we talked more about the project.

We combine two models

We have moved away from a sectarian fitness model who promotes exclusively healthy lifestyles. We are shifting the focus from nude models to a product that is created for all users. From office workers to moms on maternity leave. Lose weight, eat right or eat a lot — The kitchen will please everyone.

Currently, dishes are not stored or mass prepared for several days in advance, but the principle of lean production is used. We want to combine these models.

Nothing more

We moved the sets to a separate tab so that they were structured, described and understandable at a glance. Now the sets are grouped into categories: diets, programs, or simply “everyday food”.

Now you can choose a set in which you want to specify what meal to deliver. For example, to get breakfast home and lunch and dinner to the office. This is convenient and predictable. This eliminates the need to adapt to the service.

Order regularly

Include and set up recurring orders at checkout. Choose the delivery days and times that are convenient for you. This contributes to an increase in the number of orders, the average check, and the customer retention rate. At the same time, we maintain our current operating business model.

View regular orders in your profile and change the time if necessary. The kitchen makes the day freer — flexible meals and delivery, convenience regardless of location.

Personalization

Lose weight, eat healthy or nutritious — Kitchen for everyone. That's why it's so important for us to understand a person's culture rather than try to change it. Another argument why you should promote sets to the masses rather than focus on one audience: only about 5% of Kitchen users count calories. It is better to meet the needs of this audience without focusing the entire service on calories and proper nutrition.
